Smart Clothes

When I was in high school, my basketball coach always had a mantra that he would repeat over and over again when preparing the team for the practices and games ahead. The motto was most closely related to the fact that he made us all dress up in dress pants, button-down shirts, and ties during the school day before traveling to the location of the game later that day.

He would justify this by saying, “You look good, you feel good, you play good.” While this is definitely not the most grammatically sound motto, it definitely did make a perfect amount of sense because it put you in a good headspace for the basketball game ahead. And we did end up winning a good majority of games because of the philosophy he instilled.

There is a lot to be said about the effect that clothing can have on your health and your wellbeing. For example, wristbands and watches are becoming more and more high-tech in their capabilities for helping people improve their health.

In terms of clothing, there are many inventions that are entering the fold these days. For one, there are now shirts that monitor your sleeping patterns, pants that keep your legs warm during exercise, and even bras that check for brain cancer.
